Bayer has received registration for Sencor for use in chickpea crops.
The company said that up to now, there have been no herbicides registered for use in chickpeas and test plot trials with other typical pulse crop herbicides have caused severe crop injury. Guidance system
Springhill Engineering has released the AIM Guidance System, a software and lightbar combination for parallel swath guidance available only through Case Tyler.
The software operates on a laptop computer to which a DGPS receiver and the lightbar connect. Running it on a computer allows operators to see a map of the field they are working on and note where the booms were turned on and off. It also tells farmers where they are in a field, the acreage covered and sees skips before they leave the field and clean out the tanks.
Maps verify exactly where product was applied.
It can set multiple sets of guidelines that can be driven in any order and direction. Operators can skip rows, run every other line or go backward if needed.
The lightbar for guidance is bright and weather resistant.

New sleepers for flatbeds
Freightliner Trucks has unveiled new additions to its Century class heavy duty truck line.
The 70 inch Mid-Roof XT SleeperCab and the 34 inch SleeperCab offer more sleeper compartment and interior room.
The 70 inch Mid-Roof XT (Extra Tall) model adds 10 inches of interior headroom. With 78 inches of stand-up room at the front of the bunk and 76 inches at the back of the driver’s seat, the model offers more space than conventional mid-roof sleepers.
The Mid-Roof XT is aimed at bulk and flatbed haulers, who often want a larger sleeper, but need a compartment more aerodynamically designed for tankers and flatbeds.
The Mid-Roof XT features a one-piece roof cap and cab-sleeper structure, creating a seamless unit, which guards against water leaks, prevents alignment problems between the cab and sleeper and eliminates the need for a rubber seal encircling the sleeper.
