Chaff spreader
Hillco has introduced a chaff spreader for Case-IH axial flow combines. These spreaders are driven by existing straw-spreader drive shafts. No chains, belts or hydraulics are necessary. Once installed, both the chaff spreader and straw-spreader cones slide backward as a single unit for walk-in sieve access. The 880 and 660 spreaders require less horsepower and maintenance than hydraulic or belt-driven spreaders.
The bearings mounted in the spreader tray stabilize the original straw-spreader cones, increasing the life of the drive gears and bearings by minimizing shaft wobble. Hillco spreaders have a solid aluminum tray, positioned under twin impellers to cutch and distribute all material leaving the combine’s shoe.
The corrosion-proof tray has high-wear plastics in critical areas and heavy-duty rubber spreader blades. The spreaders are installed with quick-pin hex couplers between the straw-spreader cones and drive shafts on the combine. No welding or cutting is necessary. The tray and cone assembly and be removed easily for windrowing or sieve removal. The spreaders are shipped via UPS.
