Air conditioning upgrade
TCB Manufacturing has a way to upgrade air conditioning systems to meet new environmental standards without retrofitting.
Red Tek 12a is a new refrigerant that does not deplete the ozone and runs colder than R-12. The company says the product is compatible with all R-12 and 134a systems. It does not affect existing 0-rings, seals or hoses and works with all types of oils.
It typically runs 10 degrees cooler in a cab compared to traditional refrigerants. It runs at a lower pressure and has fewer leaks. The product is available at auto and farm implement dealers. For more information write to TCB Manufacturing Industries, 2327 Second Ave. Regina, Sask., S4R 1A5 or phone 800-451-2049.

Shelbourne headers
Shelbourne Reynolds, which makes stripper headers for combines, has two new products, one for pulse crops and one for canola.
The Shelbourne CX pulse special stripper header will harvest all small grains, but also has new features that help harvest crops such as peas and lentils. The headers are equipped with lateral floating adapter plates and ground-hugging rollers to pick up lodged peas.
The stripper pulls pods and leaves from the stem, leaving the majority of stems still attached to the ground.
The manufacturer says the unit increases harvesting output by 30 to 100 percent and provides cleaner grain samples.
It comes in 24 and 28-foot models.
The Shelbourne Pick-up Header is designed for harvesting canola. It comes in 13 and 15-foot widths with single piece draper belts with cross slats to eliminate the risk of seed rolling off the front or, in multi-draper machines, escaping between drapers.
The draper is suspended and will follow the ground contours without bouncing.
It also features 360-degree castoring wheels and a large diameter floating auger.
A hydraulic model is available with an auto-reverse feature for combines that do not have a feederhouse reverser or do not have hydraulic reel drive facility.
Both models are adaptable to any brand of combine.

Pallet turner
Hagen Manufacturing has a new pallet turner with a shrink wrap applicator.
The pallet turner has a heavy spindle, greasable steel castors and a heavy four-foot plate deck.
The turner is mounted on heavy rubber pads to reduce vibration. The unit requires at least a three-quarter horsepower electric motor. It can handle up to 3,000 pounds of pallets. The wrapper is controlled by a hand winch and includes a tension screw for a tight wrap to the pallet.
