Soil moisture meter
Dynamax Inc. has introduced a new soil moisture meter.
The TH20 Theta Moisture Meter uses microwave signals to electronically measure the volume of water in soil, with an accuracy of plus or minus two percent.
The probe is inserted into the soil and when a button is pushed the volume of water is displayed as a decimal value.
The unit can provide readings in mineral or organic soils and even saline soils, the maker says.

Spray nozzle
A new spray nozzle from Teejet allows applicators to control drift when spraying at high pressure.
Usually, increased spray pressure decreases droplet size and weight, increasing drift.
The AI Teejet creates large, less drift-prone droplets even at pressures of 50-80 psi.
The company says in some cases it also helps improve coverage of the pesticide on the target crop.

Electric fence energizer
Alfa Laval Agri has introduced the Stop 10K Booster electric fence energizer.
The unit is microcomputer controlled and gives high power with a booster effect, which increases the output under difficult conditions such as heavy vegetation.
Diodes give information on grounding conditions and output voltage, which allows the fence condition to be monitored and signals when maintenance is needed.
It has modular construction and all electronic boards have solderless connections.
