Mid-mount loader
New Holland has a new mid-mount loader for TL tractors.
The Model 52LA fits all New Holland TL tractors.
The unit has short cycle times, a 76-degree dump angle and maximum lift height of more than 11 feet.
A TL tractor can be equipped with optional dedicated mid-mount remotes and four-way joystick to simplify loader work and leave the rear remotes free to handle other functions such as baling, rear blading or mowing.
The mid-mount design also improves serviceability by eliminating the need for bulky bracing at the front of the tractor.

Rangeland herbicide
A herbicide developed for range and pastures is now registered for control on undesirable woody plants on permanent grass pastures and rangelands.
Remedy improves grass production by controlling brush including willow, aspen, birch, wild rose, western snowberry and cinquefoil.
It works best when applied to actively growing brush. It is absorbed through leaves and stems and also translocates to the roots.
Remedy is manufactured by Dow AgroSciences.
Added disease control
Gustafson’s Raxil FL is now approved for the control of seed rot in barley caused by fusarium, for seedling blight in barley caused by fusarium, and suppression of common root rot in wheat caused by Cochliobolus sativus.
Fusarium is a major disease in wheat, especially in Western Canada. Barley is beginning to become affected as well.
Raxil FL is the only product registered for the control of seed rot and seedling blight caused by fusarium in wheat and barley.
In addition, Raxil FL controls all major diseases of wheat including loose smut and common bunt. In barley it controls true loose smut, covered smut, false loose smut and leaf stripe.
Raxil FL is applied at 1.5 to two grams per 100 kilograms of seed, the lowest rate of active ingredient of any seed protectant.

Aerator chopper
Highway Ten Sales of Lemberg, Sask., is the new Canadian distributor of the Pasture Aerator-Brush Chopper made by Lawson Cattle and Equipment Inc.
The aerator-chopper is designed for smooth operation, opening the ground to allow fertilizer to seep in and to let root-bound sod and hay fields breathe.
It is available with either single or tandem drums.
Working widths are eight to 16 feet with 20, 30 or 42-inch drums.
Horsepower requirements vary from 20 to 300 hp.
The machine can be equipped with a fertilizer attachment to allow aeration and fertilization in one pass.
