Heavy tillage
Case IH has a new chisel plow.
The model 5850 has a stronger shank design, improved frame strength and hinges, and precision depth control.
The new shank’s entry angle is reduced by half and the wing angle of the sweep by 33 percent compared to traditional shank and sweep designs. The reduced entry angle decreases the horsepower requirements and reduces soil disturbance. To improve wear, the shank’s head bracket and mounting clamp have been reinforced and the lower sweep-mounting hole on the shank has been recessed. There are 22-inch, heavy-duty coil-tine harrows. The three-bar harrows have adjustable down pressure. Walking beam axles on all mainframes provide better flotation. For more information, contact a Case IH dealer.
