Skid loaders
Gehl’s two new compact skid loaders — models 3635 and 3935 — have SAE operating load ratings of 1,050 and 1,260 pounds.
While the models are more compact, the operator station has been enlarged.
Gehl says the models’ high-torque, three-cylinder 36-horsepower Yanmar engines deliver fuel consumption and lower noise levels while providing higher overall performance.
Auxiliary hydraulic flow is 14.4 gallons per minute and travel speeds reach seven miles per hour.

Garden tractors
Kubota Canada’s two new heavy-duty garden tractors — models G2460G-54/60 and G2160-54/60 — are rated at 24 h.p. gas and 21 h.p. diesel respectively.
Both engines are three cylinder and liquid cooled.
Features include power steering, adjustable suspension seat, hydraulic deck lift, quick attach implements and 54 and 60 inch shaft-driven mower decks.
Ground speed is 15 kilometres per hour.

New herbicides
Two herbicides produced by Aventis CropScience have received registration to be applied by air.
Puma Super is a grassy weed herbicide for use in wheat and barley, while Liberty is a broad-spectrum, post-emergent herbicide used for weed control in InVigor hybrid canola and LibertyLink open-pollinated varieties.

Post drivers
Worksaver’s new, self-contained HSS/P hydraulic post drivers require no special return line or fittings and install easily to any skid steer with a “universal” attaching system.
They use their own hydraulic pump, motor and reservoir, eliminating the risk of oil contamination.
Features include a spin-on filter that protects the post driver’s system, patented slide blocks made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene that provide maximum carriage contact surface.
A chrome-plated high tensile steel hydraulic cylinder rod adds to the life of the drivers. A level indicator provides fast, accurate post alignment.
Spring isolators dampen the whipping action to help extend spring life.
