Belt conveyor

A low-cost, high-utility 40-centimetre-wide belt conveyor for installation up to 15 metres is now available from Van Dale of Fort Atkinson, Wis.

The model 1650 belt conveyor features rigid 166-gauge galvanized steel sections that will span up to six m between supports. Sections are available in .76, 1.5, and three-metres lengths and are designed with a 140-degree trough for higher concave belt capacity.

An efficient tail section with simple belt tightener features a steel-tapered, wing design roller that centres the belt and cleans itself of fines and feed.

Electronic monitor

Agtron Enterprises Inc. of Saskatoon has added a new four-channel shaft/bin monitor to its line of agricultural electronic products.

The monitor is ideal for drills, combines or any farm machinery with rotating shafts. It will monitor up to four at a time. The kit includes four magnetic shaft sensors and a breakaway wire harness. For bin level sensing, up to four infrared sensors can be added. When a shaft slows or stops, an alarm (which has an on/off switch) is activated.

A control knob on the monitor will set the minimum speed of each monitor channel as well as a 10-second alarm delay. Contact: Agtron Enterprises Inc., Box 1160, Saskatoon, S7K 3N2; tel. 1-800-667-0640.
