Assisted steering
Raven Industries has introduced True Line steering assist to its lineup.
The steering assist improves accuracy and allows longer operating hours of farm equipment, day or night.
The system uses Beeline steering technology and the Raven Viper system as a user interface.
Together, they give advanced navigation technology with precision control. The system uses gyroscopes, giving it the ability to accurately steer at speeds up to 32 km-h. It has three global positioning system satellite options: WAAS, HP Omnistar and RTK.

Temperature monitor
RF Applications Inc. has a new temperature monitoring system. The T-108 is an internet-connected remote temperature monitoring system that can monitor up to eight separate temperatures and is accessible over standard ethernet-type 10/100 local area networks or the internet.
The system produces a web page that can be accessed by any computer. The web page displays each temperature and its highest and lowest reading within the last 24 hours.
Alarm limits can be set so the system will send an e-mail alert when one of the eight monitored temperatures exceeds a preset limit. The T-108 can also generate a daily e-mail summary report. This system is used to monitor such things as freezers, barns, incubators and remote buildings.

Maxim label expanded
Maxim 480FS, a Syngenta seed treatment formerly used on corn and soybeans in Canada, has had its label expanded to cover more than 200 crops.
The label is now more closely aligned with the label in the United States, making cross-border movement of treated seed and grain easier.
Fludioxonil, the active ingredient, is effective against the seed and soil-borne pathogens fusarium and rhizoctonia. Its water-based, colourless formulation is designed for use only in commercial treatment facilities.
The expanded label now includes most oilseeds, pulse crops, cereals, forage crops, grasses, legumes, root and tuber vegetables and herbs and spices.
Brandt conveyors
Brandt Agricultural Products has new high capacity 1535LP and 1545LP field conveyors.
The low profile intake lowers to about eight inches, allowing them to fit under load-out augers, hopper bottom bins, belly dump grain trailers, air seeder carts and most rail cars.
The unit can handle loading and unloading in the field or yard.
A 15 inch belt in the 10 inch tube gives a capacity of more than 6,000 bushels per hour. Belt options include two-ply rubber with woven polyester backing, or PVC.
It has a special intake design and an S-drive spring-loaded belt tensioning system to make sure the belt never slips.
The conveyor has the redesigned Trakker Two powered mover. The integrated hydraulically operated Trakker is controlled with a joy stick.
The recommended gas motor is a 20 horsepower Honda engine.
A wind guard is standard and the units have powder paint and several laser cut components.
