New square baler
The Claas Quadrant 2200 square baler makes large, densely packed bales of straw, hay or silage 27 inches high by 48 inches wide and up to 10 feet long. The baler has a hydraulically operated pick-up that is 83 inches wide, as well as a 10 foot baling channel.
The Quadrant 2200 also features the Roto Feed enhanced crop intake, which is designed for better crop flow and higher intake volumes.
The Quadrant 2200 RC is designed with a Claas Roto Cut system, which preprocesses crops for feeding or bedding. The system includes a heavy duty helical rotor designed to feed the material evenly through stationary knives. Each knife is spring loaded to protect against foreign material. Operators can engage or disengage the knives with a switch on the cab-mounted control box. They can choose zero, 6, 13 or 25 knives.

With another switch, operators can fold down the chopping housing to either change knives or clear blockages.
The computerized control system allows the operator to adjust bale length from the driver’s seat, while providing information on baling pressure, knife position and tying. Operators can also adjust knife position and baling pressure by pressing a button.
The Quadrant 2200 also includes six high-performance knotters driven by a universal drive shaft and gears, adjustable bale length and density, swinging drawbar hitch, wide angle universal drive shaft and retractable hydraulic support jack.
Optional features include bale shape indicator, central lubrication, extended drawbar and spring retained cover plate.

Nozzle news
Raindrop Ultra drift-reducing spray nozzles from Delavan Spray Technologies are designed to provide precise application of liquid pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and fertilizers.
The Raindrop Ultra produces large droplets with 72 percent less driftable fines than conventional nozzles. The large droplets also penetrate to the inner foliage layers, applying maximum chemical to the target.
All materials used in Raindrop nozzles are chemical-resistant for extended service. All seven nozzle sizes fit into standard nozzle bodies. The nozzle length is one inch.

New for sprayers
Roller pumps from Delavan Spray Technologies are designed for the needs of agricultural spraying and pest control. The pumps are compatible with most liquid fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides and pesticides.
Delavan offers three body alloys to meet various fluid requirements, including Roundup herbicide. The manufacturer says a stainless steel shaft and rotor assembly, polypropylene rollers and Viton or fluorocarbon seals contribute to the pump’s longevity.
The Delavan roller pump flow range is 5.4 to 38 imperial gallons per minute with a maximum pressure rating of 300 psi.
Pumps may be used with gas or electric motors or 13Ú4 inch or 13Ú8 inch power take-off drives.
Where PTO or independent electric or gasoline power is not available, Delavan offers a 12 VDC four roller pump/motor package that runs off the vehicle’s electrical system.
Delavan pumps are distributed by dealers throughout North America. For more information contact Delavan Spray Technologies at 800-621-9357, or e-mail sales@delavan.com.
