Spray boom

For The Farmer, LLC. has introduced the telescoping, variable-width Super Spray Boom. The booms are available in 60 to 90-foot widths (model T900), 75-120 ft. (model 1200), and 75-150 ft. (model 1500).

The design incorporates mechanically actuated nozzles on the outer boom that turn on or shut off as the boom travels in or out, eliminating overlapping and overspraying.

These booms are suited for custom applicators dealing with a variety of row spacing and field shapes and sizes since the operator can adjust the booms to any length from inside the cab.

VIDEO: Green Lightning and Nytro Ag win sustainability innovation award

Nytro Ag Corp and Green Lightning recieved an innovation award at Ag in Motion 2025 for the Green Lightning Nitrogen Machine, which converts atmospheric nitrogen into a plant-usable form.

The units, with the exception of the larger T1500 model, have no folding hinge points, which are common causes of boom failure.

All product plumbing, including the supply line, is welded stainless steel, which eliminates as much hose as possible.

All booms are custom designed for most major brands of self-propelled or pull-type sprayers.

Installation, using existing in-cab controls, is a matter of unpinning the old booms, pinning the new units into the machine and reconnecting the hydraulic hoses.

Reconditioner

Ag Shield manufacturing has introduced the ReCon 200, a new high-speed hay reconditioner that allows the operator to get the crop off before rain affects quality.

The unit fluffs swaths at speeds up to 19 km-h.

For export timothy, ReCon 200 blows out brown leaves, recrimps and inverts swaths in one operation. Swaths can also be moved to higher ground.

Crimping stalks allows them to dry faster. It can even prepare hemp for baling.

The steel rolls pick up swaths cleanly and can be opened from the tractor seat. The crimping action is designed to be easily set and fins are adjusted from the tractor.

The rollers are 2.1 metres (84 inches) wide.

The power take-off driven hydraulic system operates on any tractor.

Sugar beet herbicide

DuPont Canada has received registration for Upbeet, a herbicide designed for use on sugar beets.

The minor use registration provides the only option of controlling velvetleaf in sugar beets. When combined with Betamix, the tank-mix controls red root pigweed, lamb’s quarters and kochia, and suppresses green foxtail. Upbeet is the first DuPont herbicide to go through the User Requested Minor Use Registration process that is cheaper and faster than regular registration.

For more information contact a DuPont dealer or phone 800-667-3925.

Expanded registraton

Rhone-Poulenc has obtained registration of Select herbicide for use on sunflower and mustard crops.

The post-emergent herbicide has a wide window of application and controls annual grass weeds, including wild oats, green and yellow foxtail, volunteer cereals, and it suppresses quackgrass. For more information contact a Rhone-Poulenc dealer.
