Cat loaders
The Caterpillar 247B and 257B multi-terrain loaders feature new turbo-charged engines, improved hydraulics, redesigned operator controls and design changes that allow for easier servicing.
The B-series machines replace Caterpillar’s original 247 and 257 models. The company says they are compact and rubber-tracked and offer exceptional flotation and versatility. They use Caterpillar’s skid-steer system and have a suspended track undercarriage that is unchanged from the 247 and 257 models.
The 247B has an operating capacity of 885 kilograms when defined as 50 percent of tipping load. The 257B has a loading capacity of 1,047 kg. Both loaders use a 57 horsepower 3024C T Caterpillar engine. Standard hydraulic flow is 60 litres per minute with a high-flow option of 100 L per minute on the 257B. Both models come with deluxe joystick controls, redesigned gauges and improved visibility.
