Building packages
Cover-All Building Systems Inc. has launched a new series of buildings.
The Legend Building Series incorporates structural design improvements that allow the buildings to withstand more snowfall and stronger winds with a wider bay spacing with fewer foundation points.
The new structures come in a wider variety of building widths ranging from 18 to 82 feet. The new designs also require fewer component parts, fewer trusses and fewer anchoring points, allowing for faster installation and lower foundation costs. Openers and sowing tools
Atom-Jet Industries has added several new products to its line of direct seeding tools and has redesigned two of its most popular seeding openers.
The Atom-Jet four-inch spread opener with solid boot plate has been replaced with a four-inch spread opener with wings. The company’s three-inch spreader has also been replaced with a three-inch winged version.
The liquid sideband opener has also been redesigned, with the liquid tube being repositioned out of the seed channel, resulting in smoother seed flow to the seed bed.
The new disc closer was developed to allow farmers to seed more acres in less time.
Its independent disc construction allows the producer to seed shallower and faster, resulting in smoother fields, less soil disturbance and even germination.
The disc closer’s adjustable mounting bracket means it will fit almost any shank and is easily removed or installed.

New carbide tips
Dutch Industries Ltd has added two new carbide tips to its line of seeding implement openers.
The company’s new two-inch carbide tip and 3.5-inch triple carbide tip for the Dutch Super Eagle series offer better wear and consistent seed placement.
They penetrate the ground easily and are designed for excellent seed-to-soil contact. The new tips will be added to Dutch Industries’ existing product line, which includes the one-inch and 3.5-inch single carbide models as well as single- and double-shoot openers, fertilizer knives, straw spreaders and chaff spreaders.

Zinc powder
Wolf Trax has introduced a new formulation of zinc micronutrient.
The new formulation is a dry dispersible powder, or DDP product, which makes the micronutrient immediately available to plants and provides continuous feeding over the longer term. The powdered formulation also provides farmers increased flexibility in application timing, which is especially important if applying zinc with a herbicide, fungicide or insecticide. Wolf Trax’s DDP products are different from traditional granular or foliar micronutrients. The fine powder facilitates superior application, improved plant uptake and easy mixing.
Before applying micronutrients, farmers should use soil or tissue tests to assess micronutrient needs.

Header attachment
BISO-Canada has introduced the CX 100 straight-cut header attachment for harvesting canola and mustard.
The header attachment is imported from Europe, where straight-cutting canola is common.
The CX 100 eliminates swathing and pushing, allowing canola and mustard to be harvested at full combine capacity. The attachment is a 28-inch table extension that has its own cutter bar and side cutters that are driven by its own hydraulic system. Installing or removing the attachment takes about 20 minutes.
The CX 100 straight-cut header attachment comes in widths up to 30 feet and can be used on all common rigid straight-cut headers for John Deere, Case, Cat, and New Holland harvesters.
