The burning of the brand Monday, Nov. 25 marked the ceremonial kick-off for the 53rd annual Canadian Western Agribition.
Corey Mace, head coach of the Saskatchewan Roughriders put the branding iron to the board to officially open the event.
President Michael Latimer, federal agriculture minister Lawrence MacAulay and provincial agriculture minister Daryl Harrison were among those who spoke at the event’s launch.
