UFA donates to community initiatives

UFA Co-operative Ltd. will donate $100,000 to four rural communities in Alberta and Saskatchewan through the UFA Agricultural Community Foundation’s Rural Communities Grant Program.

The recipients are:

• The Kneehill Historical Society in Three Hills, Alta., will receive $15,000 toward a UFA theatre and seminar room.

• The Rimbey Agricultural Society in Rimbey, Alta., will receive $30,000 for an upgraded kitchen project.

• The Weyburn Agricultural Society in Weyburn, Sask., will receive $25,000 to help with its Exhibition Hall repairs.

• The Wrentham Community Centre in Wrentham, Alta., will receive $30,000 toward curling rink revitalization.

The grants are for capital projects that support recreational, educational and cultural facilities and programs that provide enrichment for the agricultural community.
