SASKATOON (Staff) – Two out of six incumbents running in Saskat-

chewan Wheat Pool’s recent delegate elections have been defeated by newcomers.

In District 8, sub-district 6, incumbent Curtis Savenkoff of Pelly, delegate for the past two years, lost to Kyle Korneychuk, also of Pelly. In District 16, sub-district 8, Chester Olson of Meadow Lake saw his 13-year run as delegate come to an end at the hands of fellow Meadow Laker Shirley Fillion.

Four incumbents were re-elected, including Greg Lindenbach of Edenwold (District 6, sub-district 5), Andrew Kazakoff of Kamsack (8,5), Eugene Prychak of Rama (8,8) and Gerald Gerlinsky of Wilkie (12,4).

One other vacancy was filled by acclamation, the pool announced last week, with Dwight Allan of Watrous taking over as delegate for District 10, sub-district 1. He had been delegate for a different sub-district that was eliminated in a re-organization.

All told, 48 of 55 incumbents in even-numbered districts held on to their positions in this year’s round of elections. Forty-four incumbents had earlier been acclaimed, along with five newcomers.
