The heart of Alberta’s feedlot country will be the site of two public meetings to discuss proposed regulations for the intensive livestock industry.
The first is in Brooks at the Heritage Inn on June 22 and the other is in Picture Butte on June 23 at the community centre. Both meetings run from 2 – 6 p.m.
Alberta Agriculture has held 16 open houses around the province to talk about proposals to regulate the industry. About 400 people Ámet with government officials to discuss a draft code of practice for handling manure and possible regulatory changes for Alberta’s growing livestock business.
