Barnstorm Agtech, a Saskatchewan-based startup, was recently awarded a $350,000 research and development grant for a mid-sized, hybrid-electric autonomous, swarming farm tractor.

Funding will be administered by Innovation Saskatchewan’s Agtech Growth Fund and is contingent upon achieving various technology milestones.

The funding will enable on-farm research to be conducted in Saskatchewan and Alberta.

During 2021, the company also raised $1 million in seed funding from individual investors and two syndicates.
