Warm dry weather has helped American farmers rush through seeding.
The United States Department of Agriculture said May 8 that 78 percent of corn is seeded compared to a five-year average of 44 percent.
In the main soybean area, 34 percent of the crop is in, compared to an average of eight percent.
In the six main spring wheat states, 79 percent of the crop is in, compared to an average of 44 percent.
