The Saskatchewan Cattlemen’s Association will have a new chair after its next annual meeting.
Rick Toney, who has been serving as chair, is not seeking re-election in District 4. Also stepping down from the board is Mike Spratt in District 8.
During the nomination period, no one stepped forward to replace either of these two and the SCA is seeking interested parties.
All four of the other directors up for re-election this year were unopposed and are acclaimed, including Kyle Hebert in District 1, Roger Meyer in 3A, Brent Griffin in District 6 and Dean Moore in 9B.
District meetings are scheduled for Oct. 22-29 from 4:30 to 9 p.m. More information is available on the calendar at saskbeef.com.
