Saskatchewan Wheat Pool has appointed three new vice-presidents.
The grain handling company has named Doug Weinbender vice-president of agri-products, Colleen Vancha vice-president of investor relations and communications and Paula Duguid vice-president of business planning and development.
In making the announcement, chief executive officer Mayo Schmidt said the three’s commitment and business acumen helped the pool complete its recent organizational and financial restructuring.
Weinbender has been with the pool since 1976, working as an elevator manager, grain trader and territory manager, and in several management roles in head office. He has most recently been general manager of agri-products.
Vancha joined the pool in 1988 and established the investor relations department before the company went public in 1996. She assumed responsibility for communications in 2002.
Duguid joined the pool in 1995 after working in the public and private sectors as an accountant. She has been involved in developing the company’s long-range business strategy, including the sale of assets.
