Two farm and construction equipment dealerships in Alberta and Saskatchewan have merged.

Belsher Equipment, a New Holland farm equipment dealership in Olds, Calgary and High River, and Belsher Construction Equipment of Calgary have merged with the Saskatchewan New Holland dealership Moody’s Equipment Ltd.

Moody’s main branch is in Saskatoon with branches in Perdue, Unity and Lloydminster.

Moody’s Equipment also markets New Holland and Kobelco lines of construction equipment in Saskatoon and Lloydminster.

The newly merged Alberta stores will operate under the name Moody’s Equipment Ltd.

The Olds and High River locations will remain the same but plans are underway to relocate the Calgary operation to the east side of the city.

The expanded company will sell Alo loaders, Bourgault and Flexicoil tillage products, Demco grain carts, Apache and Hardi sprayers, Ezee-On seeders, Haybuster bale processors, Morris bale movers and air seeders, Redekop straw choppers, Rem grain vacs, Strawtrac Seedmaster drills and Macdon swathers.

Moody’s also carries Toro, Husqvarna, Schulte and Stihl.

“Our aim is to refocus on the big equipment, cash crop products that include high horsepower tractors, combines and seeding equipment in Alberta while not taking anything away from the under 100 horsepower tractor and hay tool business that we already have a strong market share in,” Moody’s president John Mathison said in a news release.
