Marvin Schauf, of Stoughton, Sask., has been temporarily appointed as second vice-president of the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool.
Schauf, a member of the executive committee since 1993 and a district director since 1989, was elected to his new position by the pool’s board of directors earlier this week.
He replaces Barry Senft who recently accepted an appointment with the Canadian Grain Commission.
Meanwhile Gary Wellbrock of Ponteix was elected to fill Shauf’s vacancy as an executive committee member. Wellbrock had been member of that committee in 1995-96, and has been a district director since 1989.
The board of directors will conduct its annual election of officers in April.
Pool president Leroy Larsen, first vice-president Ray Howe, and executive committee member Marvin Wiens will continue to serve in their elected positions.
