Paterson GlobalFoods Inc. is building an inland terminal in the Rural Municipality of Lake of the Rivers on Highway 717 northeast of Assiniboia, Sask.

The concrete and steel facility will have storage capacity of 28,000 tonnes and be able to clean grain to export standard.

The terminal, which is the company’s eighth, will have a 112 rail car spot and the ability to load 112 car unit trains in eight hours.

The company expects the elevator to be ready to accept grain in time for harvest. It also plans to build a farm service centre.
