REGINA – Bill Hunt, Saskatchewan Wheat Pool general manager of food and allied services, has been appointed to the board of directors of Saskatchewan Opportunities Corporation.
Hunt was named along with three others: Diane Olchowski of Kinistino, development officer with Sagehill Business Development Co-operative; Mel Watson of Weyburn, past-president of the Sask. Chamber of Commerce and owner of a John Deere dealership; and Sherry Cybulski of Regina, a partner in Gates and Co.
The board will be chaired by economic development minister Dwain Lingenfelter. Two more people will be appointed within the next two months.
The corporation is the government’s replacement for SEDCO, and will act as an economic development financial institution designed to help businesses find financial assistance.
