Nominations for Farm Credit Canada’s Rosemary Davis Award are now open. The award, named after the first woman to chair Farm Credit Canada’s board of directors, honours women who have demonstrated leadership in agriculture.
Past recipients have come from a variety of fields including producers, veterinarians and agronomists.
“This award allows FCC to honour remarkable women who make a difference to their communities and to the industry at large,” said Kellie Garrett, an FCC senior vice-president.
Nominees must be at least 21 years old and be involved in agriculture. The nominations must be submitted on-line to www.fccrosemarydavisaward.ca before midnight Jan. 17.
Winners will be given the opportunity to go to the Simmons School of Management Leadership Conference, scheduled for April 26 in Boston.
