Rivers in southeastern Manitoba have kept spring runoff within their banks, cresting without incident last week. The Red River and most of its tributaries have already begun to fall.
Runoff is just beginning on the Souris and Assiniboine rivers. Localized flooding is expected in watersheds around Hartney, Waskada, Medora and Elgin.
The flood potential for the Whitemud River is dissipating because of a slow melt and dry weather.
The provincial government still expects flooding on the Cypress River, Oak Creek around the Stockton area, and in the Turtle Mountain area.
