Agricore will start immediately on its latest high volume elevator.
Located five kilometres east of Lacombe on Highway 12, the double driveway facility is expected to open in the summer of 2001.
The elevator will have 17,000 tonnes of grain storage capacity with 28 bin separations and will be able to load a full train of 112 cars.
