Alberta food producers and processors have a new team to use as a resource. Alberta Agriculture’s food and health formulation team consists of Troy Sturzenegger, food scientist, and Annette Anderwald, registered dietitian. They are available to help producers solve healthy food product development.
The team assesses health and tasty processing alternatives and provides individual consultation and feedback specific to healthy formulation.
Sturzenegger has eight years of food industry and research and development experience and is involved in food science working at the Food Processing Development Centre. Anderwald spent more than 20 years as a clinical dietitian before joining Alberta Agriculture .
