New director for foodgrains bank

WINNIPEG (Staff) – The Canadian Foodgrains Bank board has appointed Jim Cornelius executive director effective Feb. 1.

Cornelius has worked in international relief and development for 15 years. He is working with the foodgrains bank in Eritrea as a project adviser to the Eritrea Disaster Mitigation Project, a three-year partnership.

Before that, he worked with various organizations as a consultant in international development.

Cornelius replaces Al Doerksen, who led the bank for six years.
