Chicken Farmers of Canada has announced its new executive committee.
The 15-member board of directors, made up of farmers and other stakeholders from the chicken industry, has chosen the following representatives:
David Fuller, a farmer from Blomidon, Nova Scotia, has been re-elected as the chair, a position he has held since 1999. He has been with CFC’s board since 1996.
Dave Janzen has been elected first vice-chair. He has represented British Columbia at CFC meetings as a director since 2006. He farms near Abbotsford.

Martin Dufresne, representing Quebec, was elected to the position of second vice-chair.
Dufresne and his family farm near St. Félix-de-Valois.
He has been farming for more than 20 years and was recently chair of the Quebec provincial board, Les leveurs de volailles du Québec.
Adrian Rehorst, from Teeswater, Ont., will be the executive committee’s member-at-large for 2011. He farms about 20 kilometres from Lake Huron and represents the farmers of that area, Region 1, on the Ontario chicken board.
Rehorst has has previously been an alternate to the CFC board and has served as a member of the CFC food safety committee.
CFC represents Canada’s 2,800 chicken farmers and monitors supply to meet consumer needs.
