Manitoba pulse growers elect new board members

The Manitoba Pulse Growers Association has elected six members to its board of directors: Andrew Knowles of St. Andrews, Murray Chorney of Selkirk and Randy Froese of Winkler for three-year terms and Jason Voth of Altona, Joni Sawatzky of Altona and Rick Vaags of Dugald for two-year terms.

As well, Andrew Saramaga will serve as chair for a second year.

The association has also updated its mission statement and created a vision statement.

Mission statement: To provide Manitoba pulse grower members with production knowledge and market development support through focused research, advocacy and linkages with industry partners.

Vision statement: Vibrant profitable farms sustainably producing a variety of quality pulse crops to feed a healthy growing world.
