The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is investigating a veterinary clinic and three cattle dealers in western Manitoba.It is not providing details.The CFIA executed search warrants April 21 at Brydges and Taylor Veterinary Hospital Ltd., Livestock Ltd., D.A.M. Cattle Buyers Ltd. and J. Quintaine and Sons Ltd., located in the Rural Municipality of Elton, Langford and the town of Neepawa, said Rick James-Davies, a CFIA investigator.James-Davies confirmed the investigation is related to the age of cattle.Some cattle producers have suggested the matter is related to ear tags that were adjusted to make it appear cattle were born after March 1, 1999, the cut-off date for export to the United States based on BSE restrictions.
