REGINA (Staff) – Leroy Larsen will remain at the helm of Saskat-chewan Wheat Pool for the fourth consecutive year.

The 16-member board of directors re-elected the pool’s top three elected officials earlier this month.

Ray Howe stays on as first vice-president for the ninth year, while Barry Senft serves his fourth one-year term as second vice-president.

Marvin Shauf, director from district 1, was returned to the executive committee. Marvin Wiens of district 4 was elected to the five-person committee for the first time, replacing district 3 director Gary Wellbrock.

Elections for directors in even-numbered districts were held during the first two weeks of April.

Besides Wiens and Senft, others re-re-elected for two-year terms include: Rodney Dahlman, district 2; Wiens; Senft; Tony Hladyboroda, district 8; Harold Yelland, district 14, and Dennis Van Der Haegen, district 16.

Newcomers are Terry Tamke of Dundurn in district 10 and Cletus Scherman of Battleford in district 12.

Tamke, a pool delegate since 1988, replaced Ken Elder while Scherman, a delegate since 1967, replaced Charlie Weir. Both Elder and Weir retired.
