Japanese firm invests in Farmers Edge

Precision agriculture company Farmers Edge, headquartered in Winnipeg, has obtained investment from Mitsui and Co., an international trading and investment company.

The amount of the investment was not released.

“Mitsui is a premiere technology company with a strong understanding of agriculture and global connectivity. With their support, we are maximizing our ability to disrupt agriculture worldwide into a more productive, progressive and sustainable model,” Farmers Edge head Wade Barnes said in a release.
