Co-op Hail Insurance and Weatherlogics have partnered in a hailstorm data-sharing project that will bring improved awareness, reporting, and damage assessment for hailstorm events that affect crops.

Weatherlogics will use its advanced hailstorm monitoring and forecasting, which will help bring improved situational awareness for hail events. Its storm analysis will aid Co-op Hail in claims, storm processes, and evaluation.

In turn, Weatherlogics will be provided with information on the effects hail can cause to crops, allowing it to do further study on hail damage and weather technology.

The partnership will provide both parties with radar-based hail maps and ground-truth hail reports to improve the accuracy of the hailstorm loss estimates.
