REGINA (Staff) — Former Saskatchewan PC MLA Walter Johnson was killed last week in a three-vehicle accident in Arizona. His wife Dorathea was sent to hospital with injuries.

Johnson, 67, represented the Saltcoats constituency from 1982 to 1991, when he did not seek re-election.

He was active in the Saskatchewan Livestock Association and the Saskatchewan Hereford Association. He also served as legislative secretary to then-minister of agriculture Lorne Hepworth and to Neal Hardy, who was the minister-in-charge of Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corp.
