Hugo Boisvert will take over as the new chief executive officer of Nortera starting Feb. 13.
He replaces Daniel Vielfaure, who will step down in June.
Boisvert had until recently been president of Perdue Farms’ prepared foods division in the United States. Before that, he was CEO of Maxi Canada and vice-president and general manager of pharmaceutical manufacturer Pharmascience.
He also spent more than 18 years at L’Oréal in a variety of Canadian and international leadership positions.
Nortera is a plant-based food manufacturer, operating 13 processing plants in Canada and the United States that prepare canned and frozen vegetables.
