Trucking firms merge

Two Regina trucking firms are merging, which will create a $40 million company with 275 employees.

Schneider Group of Companies and Prudhomme Trucks Ltd. complement each other, said Denis Prud’homme, president of Prudhomme Trucks and the Saskatchewan Trucking Association.

“Our truckload service is a perfect complement to the LTL (less than truckload) van operations of the Schneider Group,” he said.

Schneider was formed and incorporated in 1986; Prudhomme was established in 1990.

Prudhomme offers truckload van services from Montreal to Vancouver while Schneider provides mostly flatdeck carrier service in North America along with some truckload service.
