Fertilizer maker expands
Agrium Inc. has agreed to buy from Spectrum Brands Inc. its Nu-Gro fertilizer technology and professional products businesses.
Nu-Gro makes controlled release and turf products for commercial applications such as golf courses.
Agrium is acquiring Nu-Gro’s four production facilities that make these products, as well as the Nu-Gro head office in Brantford, Ont.
The purchase price of $86 million through existing lines of credit, the company said in a News release
