Construction is under way on a modern terminal east of Leader, Sask.

Saskatchewan Wheat Pool and the Great Sandhills Terminal Producer Group have joined to build the high volume facility, with the pool owning 48 percent and the Great Sandhills Terminal Producer Group owning 52 percent.

The handling capacity of the facility will be 20,000 tonnes of grain, including 10,000 tonnes of condominium storage, dual receiving driveways and the capability to load 56 hopper cars on two loading tracks.
