OTTAWA (Staff) – Hog producers from Canada, the United States and Mexico are complaining that increased imports of subsidized pork from Denmark are threatening their industries.

Danish exports have almost doubled during the past year, producers from the three countries said after a meeting in Toronto.

Once definite evidence of damage is available, they will consider action against the imports, producers said.

The farmer organizations also called for expansion of the North American free trade zone.
