Rocky Mountain Diesel Ltd. has announced it has acquired Dunlop Western Star Truck Centre Ltd. in Lethbridge and Medicine Hat, Alta.
A family-owned business since 1981, Rocky Mountain Diesel has been a Western Star dealer since 1991.
It will now rebrand its Cranbrook, B.C., location to Dunlop Truck Centres.
Randy Dunlop, who helped co-found Dunlop Western Star Truck Centre in 1999, will continue employment for an additional two years to assist in the transition and help direct growth.
As the second largest Western Star dealer in Canada and the fifth largest in North America, Dunlop said he anticipates no big changes to either operation, which will continue to maintain a strong customer focus.
