REGINA (Staff) – Saskatchewan Wheat Pool is still thinking about grabbing a chunk of CN Rail.
But buying into the railway, which is being privatized, is only a “fairly remote” possibility, said pool president Leroy Larsen.
“We certainly are evaluating the implications and we are certainly looking at an opportunity for Saskatchewan Wheat Pool,” he said.
Delegates passed a resolution at the last annual meeting calling for the pool’s board of directors to look into buying the national railway.
