SASKATOON (Staff) — Even though feedlots in Alberta tidied up the tail-end of their two-year-olds last week, prices were steady to 50 cents higher. More calves are working their way into the offerings; they were netting a premium to the cleanup cattle. Trade on March 10 had steers bringing between $94.25 and $96.15. Strong demand pushed cow prices higher by $3-$4 on the week to $56-$70 for D1 and D2 cows, with bids to $73.75.
