Bio-Extraction Inc. has received its first delivery of canola at its Saskatoon canola processing facility. First production and product shipments are expected to soon follow.

The company uses a novel low-temperature process that extracts higher yields and higher quality meal, oil and protein from the seed.

BioExx will produce certified non-genetically modified oil and meal from the outset of production and will soon follow with certified kosher products, the company said in a news release.

The plant, built in the last nine months, meets national and international standards for good manufacturing practices, allowing it to sell its products in Canada and internationally.
