Terry Kremeniuk plans to step down from the position of executive director of the Canadian Bison Association after almost 20 years.

“I wouldn’t have done the job if I didn’t enjoy it as much as I did,” said Kremeniuk.

He said the association is looking for a replacement and an individual who has a “passion for the industry and passion to work with producers.”

The association represents 550 members across the country with the majority located in Western Canada.

Kremeniuk said the executive director faces challenges in working at a small organization but also has opportunities to connect on a local, provincial, national and international level.

The Canadian Bison Association is expected to host the International Bison Convention this year in Saskatoon in July.
