Western Canada’s largest biodiesel distributor wants to build a 40 million litre per year biodiesel plant in the region.
Canadian Bioenergy Corp. has raised $900,000 for feasibility studies and to secure agreements for site location, supply and other requirements.
“Commercial-scale production is great news for the biodiesel industry in Western Canada and great news for farmers,” Ian Thomson, head of Canadian Bioenergy, said in a News release

“Biodiesel relies on quality oil-producing feedstock, such as canola, and Canada’s agricultural industry has just that.”

The company has its head office in Vancouver and distribution terminals in Vancouver and Calgary.
It serves more than a dozen municipal and private fleets and crown corporations.
