Monsanto Canada’s Imagine a Better House community curling club improvement program is back with enhanced funding of $45,000 in cash available to rural-based curling clubs in Western Canada.

The program gives rural curling clubs in Western Canada a chance at funding for improvement projects at their local curling club.

A total of 14 cash prizes will be awarded in 2011. A grand prize of $10,000 will go to the winning entry, along with three second place prizes of $5,000 and 10 third place prizes of $2,000. All winners will be notified and announced publicly in late February.

Monsanto has provided more then $190,000 in cash awards to 70 different rural community clubs across the Prairies during the past three years. Last year’s grand prize winner was the Moosomin Curling Club in Moosomin, Sask.

Interested clubs can apply on-line at www.monsanto.ca. All applications must be received by Jan. 31.
