Prairie artists who feel isolated from their colleagues can join a unique art exchange being run this year by the Manitoba Arts Network and the Organization of Saskat-chewan Art Councils.
A project called Coastables asks artists to create three pieces, each the size of drink coasters. The first coaster will be sent to another participating artist, the second will be part of the touring exhibition that begins this fall and the third will be sold to raise funds for the project.
Submission deadline is June 1. The theme is coasting, which the arts network defines as sailing along, or making progress without exertion. The coasters can be functional or decorative.
